Fallachi Hair (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and look after your personal information, and how we handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

It applies to information we collect through this website and in the course of running our salon at 14 Gloucester Avenue, Berwick VIC 3806.

What information we collect

We only collect information we reasonably need to provide our services and run the salon. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• Contact and enquiry details — your name, phone number, email address and the content of any message you send us through our contact form, by email or by phone.
• Booking details — the service you’ve requested, your appointment history and preferences, and any notes that help us look after you.
• Sensitive information — where it’s relevant to a service, we may record health-related details such as allergies, scalp or skin sensitivities, or the results of a colour patch test. Sensitive information is only collected with your consent and used solely to deliver your treatment safely.
• Payment information — if a deposit or cancellation fee applies, card details are collected and held securely by our booking or payment provider. We don’t store your full card number on our own systems.
• Website and technical information — when you visit this site, standard technical data (such as your browser type and general location) may be collected through cookies and analytics to help the site work and to understand how it’s used.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you — when you fill in our contact form, call or email us, or visit the salon. Some technical information is collected automatically through your browser when you use this website. If we ever collect your information from someone else (for example, a referral), we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know.

Why we collect and use it

We use your personal information to:

• respond to your enquiries and booking requests;
• provide our services and look after you safely during appointments;
• manage payments, deposits and cancellation fees under our cancellation policy;
• keep records and run our salon; and
• send you appointment reminders or, if you’ve agreed, occasional updates and offers.

Direct marketing

We’ll only send you marketing messages if you’ve consented to receive them, and every message will include an easy way to opt out. If you’d prefer not to hear from us, just tell us or use the unsubscribe option and we’ll stop. We handle electronic marketing in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We only share it where it’s needed to run the salon or where the law requires it — for example with:

• our booking and payment providers, so we can manage appointments and payments;
• our website hosting and IT providers, who help keep this site running; and
• government bodies or advisers where we’re required or permitted to disclose by law.

Some of these providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

This site loads some content from third parties — Google (fonts and an embedded map) and Instagram (our live feed) — which may set cookies in your browser. Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access — including secure systems for our website and bookings. We keep information only for as long as we need it, and safely dispose of it when it’s no longer required.

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please contact us first using the details above and we’ll do our best to put it right. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
