Winter is officially here, and means new winter trends! In this weeks edition of #HairTalk, we are going to discuss a few of the winter hair colours and styles that we are seeing more of in the salon right now and are a great option for the winter months.
Warmer Blondes with Low Lights/Root Stretch
The warmer blondes and low lights are making their way through at the moment. Paired with a root stretch, it is a great colour that will last longer. It allows to blend out the natural root colour, so regrowth is not really as much of an issue compared to doing a full head of foils!
A combination of red and bronze, Copper is definitely a head turner! You do need to be on top of your colour care with this colour to ensure it stays this way.
It is a beautiful colour that can be matched with many different styles as seen below.
The Curtain Fringe/Long Feathered Bangs
Popular is the 70’s, Curtain Bangs are in again!
As the name suggests: it a fringe that looks like a curtain! It is a fringe that is parted down the middle and frames your face on each side. It is usually worn as a longer fringe with feathered ends.
An advantage of the Curtain Fringe that it is not as much of a commitment compared to something like a short, blunt fringe. This is because the curtain fringe is a longer fringe and much quicker + easier to grow out.
What are winter waves? Just waves – but in the winter. Waves are good for any season but we love them in winter especially.
See this Video Below Using REDKEN: Iron Shape 11 Thermal Holding Spray to achieve these waves!
Why? They are quick and easy to do, pretty much anyone with shoulder length hair can do them and it is a simple style that looks great!
